Alaska - Day 3 (Highlights: Ulu Factory, Moose's Tooth Pizzeria, Downtown Anchorage, Anchorage Coastal Wildlife Refuge)

For Day 3 we decided to stay in Anchorage.  We did a lot of driving the first two days, so we wanted to keep it local.

We started with a trip to the Ulu Factory.  We had come across this item called the Ulu knife.  It is the modern take on a Native versatile knife.  It is a pretty neat little factory/store.  You can even watch as they make the knife in its entirety there in the factory.

We then went to downtown Anchorage to a couple of gift shops to search for a few souvenirs.  One thing I love about their downtown, lots of the buildings have painted pictures on the sides and/or fronts.

After so much shopping, we were hungry.  We had heard from everybody AND read on Urbanspoon, that a pizzeria called the Moose's Tooth was the number one place to eat in Anchorage.  It just so happened to be right next to our hotel.

We then decided to check out the Anchorage Coastal Wildlife Refuge.  Although due to the winter cold and the weather, we didn't see much wildlife, we did see our second Bald Eagle and even some swans (which apparently are a huge deal because this is not a normal bird migration for the area).

A laid back but still pretty amazing day!
